How hire works

  1. Send your date

    Tell us the event, the date, where it's going and which sign you're after.

  2. We lock it in

    We confirm availability, your quote, the bond and a delivery time. For custom signs, we check the wording with you before we cut.

  3. We deliver it

    We drop your sign to your venue or home, ready to plug in.

  4. We collect it

    We pick it up after your event and your bond comes straight back.

Terms of Service

These terms apply to every sign hired from Signed. ("we", "us"). By making a booking you ("the hirer") agree to them.

1. Bookings and payment

  1. Your booking is confirmed once we've received full payment and the bond.
  2. Prices cover one night. Each extra night is $10 per sign.
  3. For custom wording, you'll approve the wording and spelling before we cut it. We're not responsible for errors in wording you've approved. That said, we're committed to customer satisfaction, and in some cases we may approve a redesign at our discretion.
  4. Custom wording is limited to 15 characters including spaces. Extra letters, logos, graphics and images are quoted separately.

2. Delivery and collection

  1. We deliver and collect at the times agreed when you book. An adult (18+) must be there to receive the sign and hand it back.
  2. If we can't access the address at the agreed collection time, or the sign isn't ready to collect, an extra night's hire ($10) may be charged for each night we're delayed.
  3. Deliveries outside our usual area may attract a delivery fee, which we'll quote before you book.
  4. If there are any issues with the quality of the sign on delivery, please let us know and we'll do our best to find a satisfactory resolution.

3. Safety and care

  1. Read the safety directions supplied with the sign before use.
  2. All hire signs are fitted with an RCBO circuit breaker to reduce the risk of electric shock.
  3. Signs are for indoor use only, or for covered outdoor areas in dry weather. Keep them away from water, drinks, rain and sprinklers.
  4. Only plug the sign into a standard 240 V power point using the cable we supply. Don't open the panel, the driver or the power supply.
  5. Don't remove, peel or alter the vinyl lettering.
  6. Only stand or mount the sign using the mounting points marked by the arrows. Keep it out of reach of young children.
  7. The sign is your responsibility from delivery until we collect it. Tell us straight away if anything is damaged or not working.

4. Bond

  1. A refundable bond is paid with every booking.
  2. The bond is returned once the sign comes back in the same condition, with no missing items, including the cable, power supply, stand and carry bag.
  3. The bond is returned at our discretion. Partial bond returns may be applied for damage or missing components.
  4. Water damage of any kind forfeits the full bond.
  5. If damage or loss costs more than the bond, you may be asked to cover the difference.

  • The bond is always refunded in full if you cancel before delivery.
  • If we have to cancel, or the sign doesn't work when delivered and we can't fix or replace it, you'll get a full refund.
  • Refunds go back to your original payment method within 7 days.

6. Our responsibility

  1. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
  2. We are not liable for any injury, death, loss or damage arising from tampering with, opening or modifying the sign, or from using it against the safety directions or these terms.
  3. Otherwise, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the hire.
  4. These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland.

7. Your details

We only use your details to manage your booking and contact you about it. We don't sell or share them.
